Where are the kids classes at The Springs Souk?

Gymboree Play & Music Dubai is inside The Springs Souk, the two-floor community mall in Springs 7. Its Google listing gives the address as Al Thanyah Fourth, Springs 7, and shows parking and a wheelchair-accessible entrance.

That makes it a handy local option for families in The Springs, The Meadows, The Lakes and Emirates Hills, and a short drive for many parents in nearby communities such as Arabian Ranches, Jumeirah Village Circle (JVC) and Al Barsha. You can fit a class around the supermarket run or a coffee, without planning your whole day around it.

Which kids classes are there for each age?

There are classes for every stage from newborn to 5 years. The age ranges overlap a little, so you can choose the group that suits where your child is now, not just their birthday. If you're unsure, the team can help you pick.

What is a Gymboree class actually like?

A class is a short, play-based session where your child moves, sings and explores, with you right beside them. A teacher leads the activities, and you join in. You're not watching from a bench.

Picture a 15-month-old on their first visit. They start on your lap, watching. A song they half recognise pulls them onto the mat. A few minutes later they're crawling through a tunnel, then looking back to check you're still there. You are, and that's the point. Every new thing they try, they try with you close by.

Here's what that time is built around:

  • Equipment made for small bodies. Gymboree's "Innovative Playscapes" are climbers, slides and tunnels sized for babies and toddlers. They're rearranged regularly, so your child meets a new challenge each time instead of getting bored of the same set-up.
  • Activities with a purpose. The classes are designed by child development specialists around three areas: social and emotional, cognitive and physical development. So that climb up the ramp is also practice in balance, planning and trying again.
  • Songs, bubbles and group games. These are the moments that help shy children warm up and get chatty ones talking.
  • Time with other families. Your child sees other children up close, and you get to talk to parents at the same stage as you.

One parent described their visit like this:

"The space is very clean and organized. … She is very passionate about her work and very kind and loving towards the kids which made the experience great. The program is perfect for the runners and my toddler got a good workout and fun" — Layaly H., Google review

"Isn't this just soft play?"

No. Soft play gives children space to run around, which has its place. A class adds a plan: a teacher guiding each activity for your child's age group, songs and routines that repeat week to week, and you playing alongside. Gymboree has been building classes like this since 1976, in more than 30 countries. For you, that means each activity has been tried and refined by many families before yours.

"What if my child cries or won't join in?"

That's normal, especially in the first few weeks. Plenty of children watch for a whole class before they join in, and that watching counts as taking part. You stay with them the whole time, so they can go at their own pace. Our post on when your toddler won't join in group activities has more ideas.
